Criteria

Awards will be presented to Accountants and Attorneys that have made an outstanding impact on their clients' privately held business.

It is strongly suggested to give quantifiable results when possible. These results weigh heavily on the judges' decisions.

Please make sure you meet the list of eligibility requirements (see below) and that you thoroughly answer each question. Eligibility

• ACCOUNTANTS – Applicants must be a certified CPA in the state of New York, New Jersey or Connecticut.
• ATTORNEYS – Applicants must be admitted to the New York, New Jersey or Connecticut State Bar.
• The accountant/attorney's main office of where he or she practices must be in the NYC metro area. (Note: the applicant's firm can be headquartered anywhere).
• Firm awards need to have an office located in the NYC Metro Area.
• The client(s) referenced in the application package must be a business with 500 or fewer employees. The business/client is not limited to the NYC metro area and can be located in any of the 50 US states.
• All applicants must be a subscriber of The New York Enterprise Report (for a free subscription visit www.nyreport.com/subscribe).
• Winners of the 2010 and 2011 Best Accountants and Attorneys for Growing Businesses Awards may not apply for the category in which they won.
• An individual can only win one award in a given year. This will be based on the highest score.
